Dateline: August 2026: The McKinney-Recall is a citizen-led petition drive to qualify a recall election, so McKinney voters can decide whether four named City Council members should remain in office. The recall is based on the loss of public confidence and many facebook posts have cited issues like spending, transparency, and growth. Former Mayor George Fuller inserted himself into the issue when he posted on Facebook warning that petition signers’ names and addresses could become public, writing that anyone who signs should “be prepared to stand publicly behind your decision and be accountable for the consequences it has for this community,” and that the community “deserves to know who is willing to damage McKinney” over the effort.
The McKinney Recall Committee fired back, calling the post political intimidation: “A public record is not a license for political intimidation.”
The Loose Lips mix takes its name from what George Fuller is saying. In fact it would appear that Fuller is in violation of Texas penal code 36.03, Coercion of Public Servant or Voter. You can read that law here.
Lack of Confidence (Barbershop) says the quiet part plainly: the people are tired of leaders who don’t listen.
The rest comprise one song in multiple genres: country rock, deep techno, orchestral metal, Swedish EDM, and a few others. Same message, ten different styles.
If you live in McKinney you can sign the petition and find the next signature location at mckinneyrecall.com.
